Bobbi-Jo Stuart - Love Bee Photography
Simcoe County Photographer specializing in:
Personal Branding, Headshots, and SPorts and Performance Photography
For over ten years Bobbi-Jo has been photographing love stories. The love story of your family, or your wedding day. She is still in love with love. But since turning 40, Bobbi-Jo has discovered a new kind of love that she enjoys exploring even more. SELF LOVE.
Bobbi-Jo Stuart is the creative brain behind this business. An enneagram 9, a little bit hippie, a lot stubborn and lots of parts softie Mama-Bear to her 4 kids, she has a passion to help women SHINE.
Since turning 40 herself, Bobbi-Jo has been on a journey of self love and found herself wanting to tell the story of all women - seeing a woman come alive and feel beautiful sets her heart on fire and she is passionate about helping any woman come out of her shell. Whether that is through helping women rediscover their inner beauty through a makeover or a killer photoshoot.
I just want to tell you that you do NOT need a reason to have photographs taken of yourself. And that it is OKAY to have no clue what you will do with them.
They do not need to be used online as a headshot, nor be a gift for someone.
Dance Adventure Photo Session in Beeton Ontario
We headed to Beeton, one of the small towns in New Tecumseh, Ontario. As we wandered the quaint little town we found some cool urban walls that suited the aesthetic of her black ballet costume and pointe shoes.
Then we finished off with some fun modern ballet shoes with her Lugg boots.
Ashley chose a Pin-Up style portrait session to capture her unique beauty and personality. She wanted to capture her playful and empowering side and for a minute, forget that she was a full time stay-at-home Mama.
It may be easy to think of boudoir photography as something that is done to feel sexy or fun, or as a gift for someone you love.
The truth is, most women who come to my studio for a boudoir session are actually looking for something deeper and more meaningful.
There was something really special about this session with Lynn. From our first contact, to the moment she arrived to pick up her printed images, I knew this portrait experience was something she really NEEDED.
A single mom of 3, her story is full of struggle and triumphs. Perseverance, resiliency and strength. It has not been easy for this woman or her family and I could hear the vulnerability in her voice as she told her story to myself and my makeup artist during her session.
I believe as women, we often forget as we get older how fun and beautiful we are. It's so important to celebrate and remind ourselves how truly wonderful we are. - Miss J - Boudoir Client, 36
This past year I have had the honour of photographing dozens of women from all over Central and North Ontario, from Barrie, to Toronto, to Pickering, to St. Thomas. Local women from Beeton and Alliston and women who travelled over an hour in the snow to my studio from Mississauga and Oakville and areas!
Here are some of my favourite “trends” in maternity photography right now in 2023. Although personally, I would not call any of these “trendy” but classic, artistic and made to be displayed proudly on your walls for years to come!

There are many ways to document your pregnancy with portraits. Many women opt for outdoor photography.
But as we know, especially those of us here in cold wintery Canada, outdoors may not always be an option.
Have you considered an indoor studio maternity session?
There are many times during your wedding planning process that you may find yourself in front of the camera. From engagement portraits, to showers and parties, and of course, your wedding day!
But have you ever thought about a private intimate session JUST FOR YOU?
I am talking about a Bridal Boudoir session.
I am trying to embrace aging and to see beauty at every stage of life. I've always wanted to get portraits done!
I love the idea of celebrating beauty at any age! Women are bombarded with messages of lack and inadequacy and these only get louder as we get older. Time to flip the script! I also love having professional family photos as artwork in my home!
Last year, I had the pleasure of working with Bobbi-Jo from Love Bee Photography for a 'Women over 40' campaign she was having. She asked if I would be willing to model 'in my element' as part of the campaign.
It is amazing what we can experience when we quiet the inner critic and fully embrace ourselves in the moment. Even if that moment finds you mid-air in a leap of faith, like it did with me, in this photo.
Very rarely is there a photo of myself that I like. As I have gotten older I see less flaws in them, but that is more resignation than anything else. I wanted to see myself and think "WOW". I wanted to not only look beautiful but feel beautiful.

I look forward to sharing these photos proudly with my Children and my Grandchildren someday. You work wonders Bobbi-Jo and I have the highest regard for the work that you do. Thank you for making this moment a tangible one that I can look back on fondly.
