Christine and Tony met sailing so it only seemed natural to shoot engagement pictures at the beach. They chose Cherry Beach in Toronto, and then we headed to their home with awesome views overlooking Toronto skyline and the CN Tower. They live right in the Distillery District so we popped down to the streets to end the session
I can't tell you how much I adore these two! Not only are they just awesome people, Liz is also my cousin and my son's Godmother. These two got engaged after many many years together, and we are all just so excited and can't wait for the wedding in January! I should have blogged this engagement session months ago, and honestly cannot believe I forgot! Then this week it was featured on the Brides and Wedding Magazine Blog which reminded me to also feature it!
It was a cold and blistery morning. Minus 12 degrees (celsius) to be exact. But Jenna and Rory showed up to their engagement session at Palgrave Pond with smiles and coffee and a cute dog named Rosco. This pond is the most incredible place in the winter.
Mara and Adam met us at the ferry terminal to head over to the island for an evening golden hour engagement session. I think Mara told me about 10 times before how "awkward" they were in front of the camera, but honestly, I think they rocked it!
I cannot WAIT for August when I get to hang with these two love birds again at their wedding!! Only this time I hope it is a lot warmer!
They braved the COLD winter for this session. Did I tell you this February was the coldest February on record in over 100 years?! Seriously.
But as I told them at 730 in the morning when we met up at the Pond...."your love will keep you warm".
We shot at a super cool outdoor pond in Palgrave, right off of Highway 50. There was even a guy out there at 7am clearing the ice, getting it ready for the day's visitors. So cool. I will definitely be going here with my family in the winters coming.
