Yes, this shoot was a year ago. And yes I am just sharing it on my own blog now!
It was featured last year on POPSUGAR and ISO:ALT
We had a blast putting this styled shoot together and I would LOVE if a couple made a Halloween wedding a reality! When I came up with the idea of Halloween, i did not want the stereotypical decorations so we kept the decor black and gold, with touches of glam. We shot in a barn, and stayed away from the rustic, which is proof that having a barn wedding does not automatically mean you need burlap and mason jars! Get creative!
Here is what I said about the shoot to ISO:ALT
From the photographer, Love Bee Photography:
“I had a vision for an “outside the box” styled wedding shoot. I wanted to do something different than the usual – greenery, pretty, pastels and more. (Not that I don’t love those too!). Seeing as Halloween was just around the corner I contacted a group of local vendors about doing a dark and mysterious Halloween type wedding. The goal was to create a vision that could actually be a real wedding, so that if engaged couples were to view the styled shoot they could vision themselves having a Halloween wedding. The other goal was to keep it elegant, and not too “themey”.
Together we came up with a black and gold theme, with hints of halloween here and there in terms of the calligraphy, a few skulls and birdcages, feathers and some more amazing textures in the florals. There were a lot of texture involved in the invitations as well. Overall we are all super excited to share this vision with the world and hope that a real couple finds inspiration in it!”
