This is the third time I have been privileged to photograph this family! The first time was when the baby was born, then we did a fall family session later that year. And now Ysa is growing up and walking and running and getting into mischief with his older brothers! I absolutely love when families come back to me time and time again. It means the world to me ♥
I cannot wait until our next session together!
Want to know the BEST thing about being a photographer?
When past clients come back to you, year after year.
Especially those who you photographed VERY early in your career, and who still trust and love you even if those early images were not the best! Ha! Yes…I have some old embarrassing “work”, if you can call it that.
I will admit it here - photographing toddlers can be HARD! But it is always worth the effort as they are always adorable, even if crying!
I will always tell you that the reason I shoot in a more documentary style, rather than posed with props or in a studio, is because this is real life. These are the moments you can look back on and laugh and smile and have all the flashbacks of this stage of life come flooding back. These are the images you will cherish forever because they make you FEEL.
I spent a morning at Mint Room Studios in Toronto with a whole bunch of Mamas and babes. It was such a lovely day, and I loved shooting in their new styled room, THe Nest. The room is greys and whites, and filled with adorable children’s props - which acted as both helpful and a distraction, as most props do with kids!
You would never know that they were all Freeeeezing cold in these photos - it looks like a beautiful fall day, perfect for a hike around the Forks of the Credit Conservation area in Caledon!
I had a blast this past fall at Rockwood Conservation Area, photographing a day full of new and past clients. Its always amazing when clients come back to see me year after year, and I cannot believe how big the gets have gotten!
I met up with these three little girls, sisters, at Colonel Sam Smith park in Toronto for a fun holiday session. Complete with a real tree that we lugged up onto the rocks overlooking Lake Ontario!
2017 was an amazing year full of families and friends and couples. I had the honour of photographing so many awesome people this year! Check out the year in review
Eight months flew by! I absolutely love when parents choose my Grow With Me package because I get to see the kids grow up right before my camera! This is the second time Ashley and Michael have spent their baby's first year with me and its even more neat to see the similarities and differences in their two boys.
What to Wear for Your Sunflower Photos
The most common question I get asked as a family photographer is “What should we wear for our photo shoot?”
Since I have Sunflower Mini Sessions coming up soon, let’s answer that question specifically for a session in a field of sunflowers. These tips can apply to any large field of flowers, or even just a field of green!
